much like chifuyus other work "kuroe and the garden of feminine pleasures" this text entitled "nemurenu yoru ha ubaini kitene" also provides multi-layred juxtaposed commentary on social issues. in this case, the author diverts from lgbtq experiences as its main topic and instead delves into the oppressive bourgeois (the owner) and proletariats (the ml stray cat) as well as the issue of homelessness/welfare ideology with reference to marxism.
