that + the rush back to sex, the lack of more post partum symptoms (brain fog, fatigue, slower muscle regrowth, etc.) even the depictions of mother hood feel flat since there has been no actual buildup of him interacting with the baby outside of this chapter. i appreciate the authors attempt but yeah this storyline is really falling flat.
Fuck you me what I mean? Read my shit again but a little slower this time because you seem to not be getting it Mr/Mrs pregnancy expert. I dont give 2 nor 3 fucks about the mess you talking about him being an omega or what not. All im talking about is the body dysmorphia related to the pregnancy and his stomach. Argue with your mama and not me. I said what I said. People who dont experience a bump during pregnancy dont get body dysmorphia. Dysmorphia from what? Looking the same? You think the dysmorphia is coming from bigger boobs if that even happens or a fat ass bunda?mind you I am only speaking about the physical changes because that particular dysmorphia forces on physical defects. Mental stress is a whole other playing field im not ready to bat in so get off the podium and pass the mic to someone with a point because respefully, you dont.
lol I’ve never seen brain fog depicted as a postpartum symptoms in a manga/manhwa. (I’m sure you’ll throw out a couple titles, but those are outliers, not the norm.) Anyway, not everyone experiences the same postpartum symptoms, so it’s irrelevant. Plus, there were a couple time jumps in the story, the biggest being a couple months.
As for “depictions of motherhood,” he’s not a mother. He’s the child father. There are two dads in this story. You say that there’s been no buildup of them interacting when the child was literally born two chapters before. How much can “buildup” in two chapters. You see them interacting before they leave the hospital, the next chapter has a time jump and the ML interacts with the baby, and now it’s the current chapter where the MC has the baby.
i’m not asking for universal depictions of post partum symptoms, i just think this was a poorly done arc. you’re right about my mistake in writing “motherhood” instead of fatherhood and i’ll gladly acknowledge that. i just think we’re gonna have to agree to disagree here, this isn’t really worth arguing over, i’ll be muting this thread, and have a great rest of your weekend!

I appreciate the author's attempt to highlight postpartum body dysmorphia but I feel like it missed the mark since the character barely had a baby bump to begin with. If there was any significant physical change during the pregnancy, it was not showed clearly. It was talked about which left me confused because He looked chiseled from conception to delivery so the whole body dysmorphia thing just isn't landing. It would have made sense to depict the character with a bulging stomach to drive the point home. Even now with the complaint of muscle loss, he is chiseled for the gods. The visuals are lagging behind.
