Tbh I don’t think he initially knew he could hear it and it only came out later and he was just like “well maybe it will make him think twice about liking me.” I did something similar when a 14 year old confessed he liked me. I’d brag about my bf and kiss him and stuff and be super duper obvious about my bf around the 14 year old to kinda be like “give up!” Cause he said he’d be a better bf since he’s younger lmao kids do need to learn that good adults don’t find them attractive at all. And if that means being deliberate about showing off your love life in front of them, so be it.
