The watch is underwhelming imo

I don't really understand why they added the watch - it wasn't in the novel as far as I remember, or at least not as present.

It feels underwhelming to have key moments of the futur/ending being revealed early on.
Breaks the tension a bit too, because in the novel (if I remember correctly, it's been a while) there's still this uncertainty about wether Yoon Seo will truly survive or not (ofc it's romance so we know he'll survive, but there's still a bit wariness yk), how the end of the dungeon will go, etc.
And they're already showing the fight AND the conversation with the system ? Why ? It shows too much to feel like a teaser... If it was just the smut part, why not, but plot points ? Too much.

And i fear the side stories (if they get adapted) might seem redundant with everything they've shown.

Idk man I don't really know how to explain it but I don't vibe with this addition...

I 100% agree. I also feel it sometimes disrupt the flow (like the sex scenes were between pretty tense and depressing chapters) and why spoil like that when it’s gonna happen the same anyway? It’s not like they’re going to try and change what the watch show because what it shows is what happened in the novel anyway :/ so it add no purpose whatsoever except gratuitous spoil.

This is exactly what I’m thinking. I feel like the watch was just an easy way to get smut in there so that the audience doesn’t get “bored”. But decisions like that show you have no trust in your audience to pay attention and care about your story. Because the rest of the plot remains the same, I can’t help but feel like whenever that watch is brought up, the story enters some alternate reality not quite connected with the rest of the timeline. The characters don’t seem to care about what is shown on the watch until very specific moments, but then they forget about it right afterwards. So jarring to see, and just for a couple of smut scenes. That’s what the side stories are for!!
