We have to go trauma healing first, his mind is completely wired to think that being liked = useful and he has to work hard not to take much space or else he’ll be abandoned. So that fact he took it nice is surprising (honestly cuz the foundation of this thinking isn’t shaken, pro: didn’t freak out, cons: this thinking is permanent till shaken)
