I get why "happy ending" In this case just seem like dan is gonna be miserable his whole life to people, coz he will be tied to Joo. But im sure we have reached the redemption arc, the holy grail of yearning, by the looks of this chapter. Joo's heart is in shambles and the fact that he can see how unfair it is for him to want dan with him, is showing majoorrr progress. I hope he yearns like a puppy on dan's lap. But remember folks, if someone treats u like this irl, throw them out. Characters can change their ways easily. It just take a pen. For real life people to change, u might even need a time machine. Not worth the risk.
Exactly, people need to learn to differentiate. It's a novel experience to see all those emotions changing through a character but real life is entire different story. So yea enjoy your fiction and live your reality separately!
