I honestly hate that it’s poly I’d have preferred he end with just one I doesn’t even matter who. But it makes sense within the story. Gwen is the only person who makes nain feel like he’s not insane and naturally nain is gonna gravitate towards him. As for the reason he stays with Amon, (to not spoil the story too much) you could say they are bound by fate.
