Yeah, I understand your point, but looking back at his past, I dunno, it's like he lacks basic empathy because of how he was raised. There's smth in his past that makes him yearn for punishment. (Not exusing his actions ofc.) But I can say he was genuinely afraid of losing her like 2 chapters ago, so he's not just there for pleasure. (I hope..)
This is HOT okay, but like I can't help but hate Richard... I understand that Courtney loves the feeling of being in control but their relationship is just so unhealthy. Courtney NEEDS someone to be there for her and help her control her anger instead of someone who gets aroused by her every move.
It really just feels like Richard is there for the pleasure, especially with the early chapters of him manipulating Courtney to "show her true sadistic side".
She can't even show her true feelings because that would probably ruin the mood for Richard!
