Well I think I Fu(ked it up...Mangago lists advice(?)

nerdandgeek January 28, 2026 7:39 pm

I realized that some of my 'To Read' titles where in my 'Read' so, in my mind, it seemed easy to switch them to my 'To Read' list. It also seemed easy to put some of my 'Reading' titles in their list...the problem is that now the process stopped, there has been no update on my lists since, and there are still titles all over the place without ratings...some that I am sure that I read and rated before.

So word of advice, don't move anything yet. I don't know if eventually things would be fixed but better not tempt the devil.

    explained here: https://www.mangago.me/home/mangatopic/21092806/ Room

No, I guess I didnt explain it well.

    I have read that one.

    But I was impatient.

Some did come back, but not all of it came back, and before it all came back, it seemed easy to add things to my lists. But since I did that my list have not been rearranged or updated since, and it has been some time. It just stopped updating. Other people have done the same and their lists update stopped too.

My advice is don't add or move anything until its done. I am no expert but better be patient than sorry.

What you’re experiencing actually lines up with how mggs restoring lists right now.

The issue isn’t that moving or adding titles broke your list permanently. What’s happening is that the UI (list display) and the database (where your manga are saved) are still out of sync. When some of your old entries partially reappeared, it looked like everything was back, but in reality your account was still mid-restoration.

When you moved or added titles during that phase, those changes were saved correctly, but the UI stopped refreshing older timestamps because your account is still waiting for the rest of its data to be read and displayed. That’s why things seem stuck, ratings look missing, or titles appear in the wrong lists.

This has happened to other users too, even ones who didn’t move anything. It’s tied to the ongoing backend process, not individual actions. Once restoration finishes for your timestamp range, the lists should reconcile and update again.

That said, the advice to wait before moving or adding anything is still good. Not because it causes damage, but because it avoids confusion while the UI is unstable.

    So basically:
    Your data isn’t lost
    You didn’t overwrite anything
The list display just hasn’t caught up yet

Patience really is the safest move right now.

Oh Jesus de Veracruz, thank God, because I thought I messed up, and I wanted to warn people. Thank you for you for the time and patience to explain everything.
