The "only visible to myself" option is about the comment you can add, not your entry. You can't hide an entry, for better or for worse
what they mean, is you make the manga you put on your list private for only you to know what's on the list, instead of everyone being able to go to your profile and see your want to read, reading and read lists. some people don't want others to know what their reading. it's just how people are.

I don't know if you understood what I meant, but I was just under the impression that the "visibility" was about the optional comment.
Still, regarding OP's comment: the data for your entry will be stored the same way as any other – hiding it does not negate the data, only adds on top of it. If you know there were other (hidden) entries before your only restored one so far, it's possible the UI is hiding it from you too for the moment, but will return as soon as the site is running properly again. If your hidden entries weren't older, however, they'll probably just show up with time, since the recoveries are being from oldest to newest.
This whole chaos is just one bug, glorified UI bug so there's no need to fret about damaged/lost data

So if a work was marked as "only visible to myself" will it reappear in the lists? Coz the only one I got back in my "already read" list was the one that wasn't marked as "only visible to myself"
