Pretty sure when you add them to reading or already read section there will be tick option for "subscribe to this manga".

Go to the history button and click "show all", if a story you read had an update it will say it next to the title
Other way is to click on a story, click on the genre of it, scroll down and put "sort by: update" and you'll see all the stories updated recently

usually when you add a manga/manhwa to a list (like “is reading”) you should get notified on the site when it gets updated

at the top of the screen, between the search icon and the setting icon there’s an icon with a bell, every time a manga gets a new chapter it should notify you there. i’m not sure but you might need to have the manga in the “reading” list, not in “want to read” or “already read”. if that still doesn’t work u should check in settings to make sure there isn’t a setting turned off for it
