It’s pretty common even amongst siblings to have bad communication, even between parent and child. I know we think friends should have better communication, but it takes just one side to hesitate and it’s downhill from there.
You do have a point. But here, they’re best friends and have been inseparable ever since they were babies. I’m not saying I expected some kind of MLP-level friendship, but geez, I feel like the childhood friends-to-lovers trope here is not really handled well.
I guess it depends. I guess it’s cause I am like the male lead - I keep a lot to myself even from my sis who’s been my best friends since I can remember and even from friends I have had for 10-20 years. I am very hesitant to bring things up due to anxiety and all. And therefore I can understand where the ML is coming from. Even though it may be frustrating to read and even be a bystander in RL situations. I love the story so far, I think it’s written well. These are complex characters and it’s not black and white. Looking forward to how he solves his inner demons and conflicts.
You’re right. I should see in that perspective. I’m looking for their evolution and if they can work on their communication in the future.
I don’t want to be rude, but why is their communication so bad ? They’ve know each other since childhood, yet, it doesn’t feel like it with how low their chemistry is. They can’t talk to each other. Like at all. And how is that possible for us (the audience) to count more time where they had sex, than moments where they had genuine conversations and understood each other’s pov ? While the whole thing isn’t even a plotless hentai ? I’m sorry but it’s kinda … frustrating.
