This last happened around a year or two ago. But yes after the pandemic something different happened (when we couldn't comment)
there was a glitch before that was fixed by the computers, but this is manually being fixed, so it's a lot slower

i think this site has switched hands a few times. when i first got here, before i opened my account, you could request by email to someone to add mangas. now you can't. and the glitch that sharkvice is talking about happened shortly after that email request vanished.
Yup. That's also the same time the report button for chapters (for taking them down) was removed

It's like putting a popcorn bag (our manga data) in the microwave (the system running the data). We're all just waiting for the microwave to beep

i read one of the updates when i first was reading about the mess, it said it was manually being done >.< weeeeeee.....guess the microwave is set to low and not high
neither low nor high. its set to the usual temp and time to cook a popcorn bag. imagine a single home microwave trying to cook 5 trucks of popcorn bags. increasing the microwave's temperature wont cook all of that volume. its physically impossible to fit all of the bags inside and would just make the microwave overheat (aka overload the servers which will result to the site going down again)
but yep i read that post too. i sent a comment to their post to correct them
now you're trying to over load my brain by trying to make me think of how a microwave runs!! >.< lol
