It's funny because there's a story on here called The Girl Who Married The Big Snake. Dude never changes into a human and just stays a big talking snake lmao. Oddly enough the story has alot of wholesome moments and some dark backstories.

Is a bit hypocritical to keep reading and complaining about something that was made clear from chapter one.
The fact that the snake turns into a person does not change it from being a snake. So the interspecies is still there. Just to a point where you can ignore it without feeling weird about it, but it still there in the background

The thing is, I stopped reading it. I just checked the comments to see if he was still in snake form, so you’re wrong there. Also, I never complained. I responded to a comment explaining why people might not like the snake plot. My issue isn’t that I have a problem with him being a snake or having snake characteristics. It’s just that it seems like the story is really set on keeping him in snake form. If that’s the case, that’s fine. But then trying to add romance or steamy scenes gets a bit strange and rightfully so. The human brain shouldn’t be wired to think that interspecies relationships are normal. I’m all for a story with animal characteristics, like “You Are So Lovely,” “Cold-Blooded Beast,” etc. All these stories have animal characteristics, but they still know when it’s appropriate for human form.

Well you have a point there but it's just the beginning of the story with less than 15 chapts. I'm pretty sure it will change more later on as soon as he finds out who the snake is. And from the looks of it, he might find out only when he is married

this is a new series and has little chapters so ofc the story is still in the stages to build up its plot (in this case it is still introducing the relationship between mc and ml bc again mc thinks that the ml is just an imoogi, nothing else, there’s also the build up of other characters to build up the drama as such you cant just progress their relationship in less than 15 chaps unless the author was aiming for a quick short series which i doubt it will be)
also just bc every interspecies series you read were mostly in human form does not mean the author will follow the same trope and/or progression
if you’re not comfortable or dissatisfied with the story then just don’t read it, easy as that. everyone has different tastes on what they like so its better to just leave it as is and find something that suits to your liking
