his dad organized the curse as a part of a larger political scheme that was orchestrated by Cho. so yes he did, but Kang (the dad) wasn’t acting alone. he was collaborating with Cho, presumably for personal gain, like Cho probably promised him high rank if they were successful in deposing of the Crown Prince. but Kang was also Cho’s fall guy bc Cho was scheming behind HIS back and hired someone else to burn them all alive and erase the evidence of their nefarious work. Myungha and Chunga escaped the flames but dad Kang and his crew did not.
