Bruh people who say this arc is draining never had a healthy relationship built with heaps of communication. All words no action? They took the action to communicate. Ive seen so many good friends fall out because they were too stubborn or lazy even to communicate. Physical actions can also be misunderstood. Thats why you communicate, talk, then action. It requires alot of patience and clearly these readers who complain do not have any. This is deep rooted trauma that was the whole plot of why it made rintaro and kaorukos love so sweet and "forbbiden" by others in the first place. This is not frieren where theres fighting an action in between. This is simply life, and everyone of us will go through it at some point. You should be jealous they have such healthy relationships at this age instead of bashing it.

I refer to this story as "Healthy communication, the manga" - and it is meant as a compliment. It's such a refreshing change from all the stories where the conflicts are almost entirely based on misunderstandings.

Is it hard to believe that teenagers would excel at something that even most adults have problems with? Sure. But that's why it's fiction. It's an idealised version of how things can be when people actually communicate. And it's one of the reasons why I love this so much.

The draining part is that a conversation that is happening over the course of a few hours or days is taking months due to the release schedule lol. But otherwise you are completely correct. That is the beautiful charm of this series
It shows the work, sacrifice, and commitment you have to have for a real relationship - of any kind. And that it's worth it.
