It has nothing to do with the overall story, just something that bothers me every time it comes up. Actual, real gold is incredibly soft. So, every time they play around with a gold coin and say it's "real gold" because it DOESN'T bend, it bugs me. Actual, real gold WOULD bend. That's the whole point. If it doesn't bend, it's gold PLATED. I know that this happened because of media like TV shows and movies. Still, it bugs me every single time.
If you're going to have a "it's real gold" scene, please remember that it's soft and it bends. It also scratches and dents easily. Again, just a minor nitpick, doesn't take away from the story for most.
