ig you could just interpret it as it is! idk much about japanese culture so im not sure about symbolism but gods are often depicted to manifest human forms so they can interact more w humans, ig the reason why the god took a liking to their bath house was bc of the one time he helped the boy when he got stuck at the park, (which was the god’s rain fault) and the boy saying their bath house was special. also in the beginning i think the boy kinda disliked the rain thats probably why on the second visit he showed the boy the beauty of the rain. also it could be just a cute interaction between humans and divine beings :)
maybe it was kinda a slice of life between a god and a human to give us a story in general? I get what you are saying but I felt there was a message in there? but I felt also I just didn't get it lol. Felt like this one went over my head :)
Didn't get it. What is the meaning behind this? We got a fantasy story with a rain god who comes yearly to the bathhouse? Why? I missed it? I have no clue LOL I don't even know what I missed cause there was like no story to me in it?? ig I could read it again but it isn't worth it LOL I love this author's works but this one I don't get at all. huh?? oh well....
