The ending is actually quite straightforward. The curse is broken once the Female Lead (FL) realizes she no longer loves the Male Lead (ML) and shares an intimate moment with another man. However, the ML is unaware that the curse has been lifted and mistakenly believes the FL has died. Heartbroken, the FL eventually chooses to take her own life, but because the cycle has been broken, they are no longer destined to be reborn together.
Kinda wished we see how the ML reacted when he learns that the FL died
