This is pivotal for proving he is monogamous at his core. It's not that he lost attraction to women, it's that he had already fallen for Garam and didn't know it yet. His brain just cannot let him get turned on when he is actively pining for someone else and that is very monogamous behavior. Him trying with multiple women had nothing to do with being promiscuous after it didn't work the first and second time. It kept trying after the third time didn't work out of pure confusion as to why he couldn't live the same way he did before he met Garam. There are subtle hints that he has already fallen for Garam as early as chapter 14, he was just an idiot at the time lol. Also, going back to Garam because he could get it up is the reason he got rejected hard by Garam lol Don't give up, he redeems himself.

That doesn't prove that he's monogamous in his core and monogamy has nothing to do w the story. Sure he may have liked Garam in the earlier chapters but let's not twist away from the overall story. If he could get his willy hard, then he would have still fucked girls. He always liked girls before Garam. The only reason he started sleeping w Garam is because it was easier. If Garam wouldn't provide him sex, he was go out and try and sleep with others. It was af if Garam was his safety net. So he....he was an asshole

It does if you are set on having a future with a singular person after developing a bond with them. They weren't in an official relationship, but they were exclusive for an extended period of time, since moving into the dorms. He definitely developed an attachment towards Garam without even realizing it. Spoiler: It's really cemented in a future chapter where he is at a gay bar and is casually wondering to himself why he doesn't feel any attraction to any of the men there in the same way he lost attraction to women. Further showing how it's only Garam he can feel attraction to now. It's because once he sets his life on someone, he can't find attraction in other people. The word monogomous doesn't need to be said for it to be a monogomous behavior. Also, I feel I need to stress that a monogomous person can still sleep around and have flings when they aren't emotionally tied down to anyone.

He was a no strings attached guy. Garem at that point had broke off their fwb relationship already, so technically he could sleep with anyone he wanted after that.

He was until he met Garam lol. Before they met, he was homophobic and a massive unapologetic jerk. It’s also implied that during his fboy era he was a wait for them to come to you type of guy. This is implied through having sx with his childhood friend just because she asked and then refusing to do it again after he got in trouble. This is someone he grew up with and he still had zero emotional or physical attachment to her. This was one of the first important interactions we see of his dynamic with women. The 2nd instance of this is when the girl at the festival hits on him first and he goes along with her, and then Shinjoo is the one who sets him up with girls as a third party. All of this shows a lack of attachment to people and relationships. Eunsel from his class is the only example we get of a past relationship from Jaehyuk and it’s hinted at that she broke up with him and has long time animosity towards him. Probably because of something he did to sour the relationship into a breakup. When it’s mentioned Jaehyuks speech is dejected while Eunsels language is disgusted. Though, the actual cause of their breakup is purposely held back information to the reader so that it can be brought up in a plot point later. Maybe when Jaehyuk goes back to college and their relationship is finally outed to the college friend group. Anyways, if you go back and read the story with the mindset of “This is a homophobe who doesn’t understand what a relationship is and even when he is very clearly doing things that a fkbuddy wouldn’t, he is too stupid to realize it himself because he is so deep in his internalized homophobia”. Garam noticed and that’s why he broke off the fkbuddy agreement in the first place. He was scared of having to face another Sehan situation. Doesn’t Shinjoo bring up to him that maybe the reason he can’t get it up with women anymore is because he is down bad for the person he’s seeing. I swear that was the conversation that paved the way towards green flag Jaehyuk. Because that’s when the thoughts of “I’ll just use him and move on” started turning into “I want to be with him” to “I wouldn’t mind spending the rest of my life with him”. lol I do like how subtle the improvements in Jaehyuks behavior towards Garam is paced. Especially the visual cues that were evident in really early chapters. (I could keep going, but this is already at an essay length at this point)

I get what you are trying to convey to. i get it but the only thing I was saying if he could get his willy up, he would've continued to fuck girls making garam his safety net. He had developed attachments and liked Garam way before, I won't deny it but he was so deep in his denial that he continuously tried to act high and mighty and tried y'know fucking other girls. While the argument they weren't dating is valid, it's also valid that if he could get hard then he may have never come to the realization. In fact after garam touched him at the festival and the funny scene of instant hardness came, he was still hell-bent on being a complete douche and satiate his sexual urges w Garam treating him a sort of fuck toy or something similar. All I'm saying is, if his sub-conscious had not put a cap on his sexual attraction then he would have never seen Garam as a potential partner. So I think we can regard Joohyuk as promiscuous.

I do like this story, although the redemption arc is good but I do wish that the arc should've gone a different route. I'm not a very big fan of ml's being a white knight and saving mc from a difficult position and mc seeing them in a changed light. Although Garam liked him from before, it is true that he decided to keep a distance. The matter regarding seeing his mother and joohyuk keeping his urges to himself made Garam think otherwise. It might be my personal opinion so let me know if you resonate w this.

I agree with all of your points, nothing you said was wrong, but my main argument is that Jaehyuk deep down is a monogamous person. Even an escort can be in a monogamous relationship and still have sx for money with countless other people. It’s actually ideal to be a monogonous sw because they can’t even imagine clients as potential partners and it stays business only. Monogamy is rooted in seeking only one dedicated partner after forming a bond with that person and a loss of attraction to anyone outside of that person. Healthy monogomy is reassurance that your partner is dedicated to you and won’t cheat on you, and unhealthy monogamy would be forming a bond with someone and then stalking them when they don’t return your feelings. If no attachments are formed there is nothing tying a monogamous person down and that’s how you get promiscuous people who don’t know they are monogamous. The only good takeaway from him trying with other women and it failing is that it proved to the readers that Jaehyuk does infact have feelings for Garam at that point in the story, even if it was shadowed by him still acting like a jerk at that point. If he didn’t have feelings for Garam it would have been the end to their relationship like you said. I personally am not a fan of women being thrown into bls or men being thrown into gls for plot purposes but in this case I believe it was necessary for Jaehyuk to learn he can’t be with women anymore as a fact used in later chapters. Example: the “I’m gayer than you” jokes wouldn’t make sense if the earlier chapters didn’t happen.
