You didn’t read the novel right? Taekjoo never develops that syndrome and (spoilers) actually manages to escape without any pity for Zhenya. He never falls or develops any romantic feelings for Zhenya while he’s in the island, that happens after his escape where he meets with Zhenya again in a “better” circumstance.
He doesnt develope Stockholm syndrome btw

Sadly not yet There’s still a lot of stuff that needs to happen before he actually manages to escape. Fortunately though, there will be a special character that helps him with that in the next chapters. Everybody will love it so no worries.
