I mean, in general, not just this site. Usually bigger fandoms have more toxic fans. Tj shippers are way more. Both fandoms have slut shamed Ian so I foul care less about them, none are amazing but one side is shittier just due to the amount of said shit.

yeah i joined ws pretty late but from what i’ve seen, jo stan tend to virtue signal and throw low blow insults more. maybe it’s an inferiority thing since tj has such a huge fanbase.

I’m only saying this because TJ stans have been ruthless from the start (ableism, racism, etc), been here since the start of this story.

Although both sides had their fair share of shitting on Ian for the sake of their preferred male lead and self insert purposes, I don’t think that the Jo stan virtue signalling and pettiness compares to the nasty superiority complex and spam of insults that TJ stans spread across platforms lmao

i think ian will get a happy ending either way it’s all depends on the delivery which i don’t doubt doyak will deliver. i saw many complaints about her pen this season but honestly they all sound like moaning bcs the endgame projection doesn’t land to their court. it’s my favorite so far after s2.

i saw jo stan calling tj stan rape apologists at least once under each chapter which i find really ironic

i don’t really care if people insult the characters. they’re all fictional so to me it’s just old man yelling at clouds. what i don’t get is people insulting the author or other readers for liking something especially when those same people clearly care a lot since they spend so much time obsessing over other people’s opinions. and as far as i know doyak has spoken up about people (jo stan) mischaracterizing the story about hero and villain and another time was when people were harassing her friend for publicly stanning tj. so i don’t really see them as the quieter part of the fandom.

To each their own, everyone has different interpretations. I read the story, not purely for the smut, and I do care about the characters especially when putting one male lead in a pedestal while putting down Ian, story wise. I do care if someone insults a character while worshipping a fucked one, story wise it should matter. Yes, it wouldn’t matter in general since it’s fiction, but stories are meant to evoke reactions.

Like I said, it’s a comedy at this point and I don’t bother with either fandom wars anymore. I still talk about it but not a lot.

I just dislike one male lead more, that’s all.

I have been there, I mean being called a rape apologist. That’s because people don’t get their way or mistake fiction for reality. Just because I might read taboo stuff does not make me like it happening in real life.

I may be a big TJ and some Jo hater, any male lead here actually, but if he somehow becomes end game, I am not going to freak out. I might be disappointed if the delivery is poor, but that’s it. I’ll move on and read my other stories.

I doubt Doyak would just: TJ confessed and Ian gave the cold shoulder, silent treatment for a few days, but they both end up together after TJ pursued him strongly this time. Jo is rejected and cast aside.

With everything that happened in a decade and a bit more, I really expect something more. Something that brings back to the first time they met, something that can override the misery they shared and gave, etc..
