Yup. In none of this was Kim Dan shown to hate or resent the ML. All that happened was that he became mentally exhausted and at times scared. So yeah it's just not in his personality to be that way.
Honestly I think it just lies in Kim Dan's personality to not be resentful, he saw remorse and he accepted it.
