Yeah nah this mangaka was cooking straight xenophobia, just as it was getting interesting too. Just before ppl start calling me too woke, I want to remind you that nothing exists in a vacuum, Japanese politics are shifting further to the right + growing support for their conservative leader Takaichi, so therefore xenophobic sentiments are increasing. Not saying that we should cancel drama queen or boycott (we alr on piracy site lmao) but it just hurts to see such art go to waste, will stick around cos the story is intriguing but will forever just feel abit disappointed.

    Thank you for pointing it out tho about the irl politics side of it. While tons of more mainstream manga speak about unity or systematic injustice. It’s def important to see where literature is going and what ideas/topics we should be more aware of being shared
