My reading list

according to an admin in reddit they lost all data unless you rated the manga otherwise your reading list will not come back

~ Lists are gone because the site crashed due to traffic after THAT site went down
(You are not the only one, this happened to everyone)
~ Only rated/tagged + other works they managed to recover will return to your lists
(The drive containing lists data crashed and user data was lost. This was confirmed by the webmaster.)
(THIS MEANS YOUR ENTIRE LISTS ARE NOT COMING BACK FOR A MAJORITY OF PEOPLE)
~ DO NOT touch your lists PLEASE. Even if you've received everything or your lists have stopped updating.
(The site is still being fixed. More information being sent to the servers may cause issues. Save stuff off the site for now e.g. spreadsheet)
(If you did add stuff to your list, it'll probably be fine. Moving forward do -not- add more to your lists until we are given the green light)
(There is a chance the site may crash again + lists lost again, or the load caused by everyone editing their lists may make recovery efforts take longer)
~ THERE IS NO TIMELINE AS TO WHEN THE SITE WILL BE 100% FIXED

Sorry if this is blunt, but trying to write personalised flowery responses to everyone is tiring lowk

The site admin said they had a hard drive crash/failure that resulted in data loss, they were able to restore limited data, only manga/etc that was commented on or rated was restored.

Some people have been saying the person spreading that is Doll, a well known troll who often poses as a dev to stir up drama because they like the attention. I'm not sure though, since it seems to be a wide spread theory at this point, and i currently only have my rated & tagged back.

No it’s true. Multiple people have emailed the devs and have gotten the same response

I think Doll was trolling about being a dev but I *think* the info was legit. I saw a screenshot of an email someone posted here allegedly from the site admin. No way of knowing if it was genuinely them, but data loss would make sense.

pls stop with the miscommunication or false information bc there has been many proof of people who email the dev that only manga or manhwa that are rated come back.

I don't see how what I said is miscommunication or misinformation... I went and looked at current goings on after people replied to me, and it seems there are more legit sources now. I never claimed to know - I was just communicating that this is what I've heard, as it is what I've heard, and I said very clearly I wasn't sure myself. Thanks to everyone who clarified for me.

I’m not saying you claimed it as a fact. I’m just saying when it’s not confirmed and people repeat it, it turns into misinformation fast. There’s literal proof from people who emailed the dev that only rated manga/manhwa are coming back. That’s why I said miscommunication.
