I just read the RAWs, and it focuses on their high school past. ML ends up getting into a fight with MC’s ex and gets suspended from school for it. Afterwards, MC and ML argue about it.
They meet again at graduation, and MC tries to make up with him, but ML is still pissed and ends up officially breaking up with him. After that, MC goes back to his ex because he just wants to feel loved (stupid!).
That’s where the latest chapter ends, so I’m not sure if they had any contact after that. From earlier chapters, though, it seems like ML didn’t know anything about how MC lived his life after high school.
Which is why I’m confused about why ML was so upset about being “ghosted,” when he was the one who ended the relationship. He even gave a whole speech after breaking it off with him about how if they were meant to be, they’d meet again. That honestly makes MC’s confusion make a lot more sense when he asked why ML was looking for him in the first place (Chapter 23).
Honestly, this whole time I thought MC had simply abandoned and ghosted ML, but that wasn’t what happened at all. So now I'm re-reading the earlier chapters with this new perspective.
And I just realized some of the things MC said to ML in the season finale was actually him remembering their high school break-up, hence ML's claim that MC was still "hung up" on what he said to him in high school.
oh then why was he with him still as of today? Ziillua
Because that's how abusive relationships work. As you can see in the past chapters, he kept threatening to off himself and it took him 10 years to get rid of him.
