actually, no. in novel his ash gray hair started to slowly turned white after he got stuck in that helly dungeon so his normal hair is basically just ash gray which is right if we see it on C43 when he met sayoung for the first time. his white hair just have to do with something that he did in that dungeon tho, it’s not his actual hair color.
Actually J's hair is originally black/brown but it turned white in the rift he was stuck in. The flashback scene is before he entered the west sea rift so his hair color is correct in the image.
