This is not what the fans want to see. Sub/dom play is literally based upon mutual trust, this is just subpar rape/assault play with a subserve tag tacked on. Why can’t consent just be a given. Plus why is this prison warden just taking out his childhood trauma on prisoners by attempting to abuse them like bro.

I'm so glad someone else said this. The whole refusal to a safe word p*ssed me off so much. Like they both need to have their own safe words they chose themselves for multiple reasons to include safety. This entire story was just either of them doing whatever they want regardless of the others feelings. And the fact that the MC was so traumatized (not that it's ok) to the point of taking it out on his surroundings as he did makes it even more crazy that he just got over it so easily cus "ah, feel good"

Damn straight! Like we *want* intense playscenes as much as these authors seem to want to write/draw them! But only when things follow the Safe Sane & Consensual (SSC) rules of thumb here!
No Boundary Talks? = Not Safe, arguably not Sane, & easy for lines blurred regarding Consent.
No Safeword? = Not Safe NOR Sane
*IGNORING* & REJECTING Safewords? = Wildly not Safe, insanely not Sane, & 100% disregarding the most important boundry that can protect our ability to revoke Consent during play *by ALL parties!*

In my opinion, saying no to a safeword is the same as saying no to the idea of revoking consent, & that boundaries are just suggestions. After we boil everything down, this whole story is just a poorly executed sadistic rape fantasy. I'm not even here to kinkshame that kinda thing btw! 1) While not my cup of tea, you can do rape fantasies safely with planning/full consent for the scene, & 2) Bc I'd be a damn hypocrite given I'm an actual submissive with kinks of my own lol ╮( ̄▽ ̄")╭ I am however unimpressed with how this "rape disguised as not rape" turned out. No attention to integral details like safewords or planning in the tiniest of convos, few existing "boundaries" (saying that loosely) were often overstepped, and there certainly no aftercare. What a headache of a mess (—_ლ)
