i guess i understand ppl who didn’t like the story or were weirded out by it! but to go on and say the story is bad is just being dumb… like if you’re reading fictional stuff set in a fictional world—dont expect irl morals to be in it, this story is literally about ppl owning other ppl, child sex traffickers, and what not, its no use being shocked by the fact that they end up together and have sex…for Sui it was the only thing he knew, and for Angie, even tho he has morals and a good idea between bad and good, he’s still a guy who’s gone through a lot, he also knew that doing those things with Sui was wrong, but if it was the only way Angie could comfort him— he was a bit obligated to.
I have no excuses for the doc and teenboy tho, since we know nothing of them

Anyway the fact that a lot of ppl complain about this but dont stop reading even tho its not their cup of tea and then go on to say things like “ if you enjoyed this you’re weird”, “this is pedophilia”, “you’re a pdf if you like this.”?? and what not, is lit just being stupid.
The plot was layed out directly in the first chapter, so you knew it was about topics you wouldn’t like, just go back to the menu and find something else, youre not obligated to read things you dont like…

We had a saying before “DONT LIKE DONT READ!” even sharing your opinion is useless since nobody asked, just don’t interact with media you dont like, act like it doesn’t exist and you will be fine.

"You can't apply irl morals into fiction" not when the fiction treats about irl issues that are still tormenting humanity as a whole , turning a tragic reality into yaoi is just outright disgusting, victims of child trafficking are piling up each day and instead of making the hero to the story a "true angel" as they keep calling him , they decided to turn their savior into another child trafficker, "but no he saved them , he is the good guy" he brought a victim from one house to another , the mc manipulated both the kid and the reader that he was a saint .
And finally this IS pedophilia , wether you want it or not, wether you think you're too smart for it or not a grown ass man sleeping with a kid IS SEXUAL ASSAULT AND PEDOPHILIA and anyone who enjoys this or thinks that treating such a subject with so much lust is as bad as the pedophiles in the story (i stopped at the first chapter , this is pure shit)

So it's definitely uncomfortable in my opinion but having read the full thing there's a couple of points I think that make this a bit more nuanced:

    1. Jade isn't an actual child they used drugs to physically stop his aging and brainwashed him but he is mentally and physically an adult (implied in the story)

    2. Angie (MC) doesn't act with intent to do anything with Jade he just does what Jade wants. And some of that is sexual due to Jade's previous situation and because of how Jade was physically and mentally altered it IS uncomfortable to see. Angie is not manipulating anyone he's just doing what he thinks is helpful...this matters because:

    3. Angie is also a trafficking victim. In a society that normalized trafficking. His ideas of what's appropriate in rehabilitating someone might do not match our real world notions.

    4. The society at large has normalized trafficking (how this is treated is definitely not great but that's a different discussion). It's less about being trafficked and more the scale of abuse.

I dont think it's fair to say people who read this story and enjoyed it are pedophilic. Is it uncomfortable? Yeah. I had a really hard time with the early chapters. But the ending (we're ignoring the extras) really shifted the dynamic and you see Jade really become his own person.

I don't like this story. It made me extremely uncomfortable but ultimately that's a personal thing and not something I feel comfortable moralizing over.

omg yes thank you fkr elaborating my point a lot more!! i wrote mine at 2 am so i was half asleep and didn’t really develop what i wanted to say exactly the right way !! so really thanks!
Being uncomfortable with a story like this is also the point of stories like this, being uncomfortable reading is the most understandable thing, I also was! but when i feel its really unnecessary for someone to share their opinions if theyve only read the first chapter… but anyway THANK YOU FOR ELABORATING!!ლ(´ڡ`ლ)

I'll be entirely honest I am not a fan of this story and personally felt there were aspects of the story that were not handled well and I agree that elements of the story definitely toe the line with Jade's physical vs mental age. Ultimately I feel that he's an adult who was mentally broken but I can understand (and frankly agree with) why some people felt that he was too childlike for comfort.

While I could make a fairly convincing Watsonian read on the choices behind their actions ultimately, from a Doylist perspective, I believe the author's intent was from as fetishistic perspective. While I don't think writing something to fulfill a kink/fetish is inherently problematic, as a reader I think negatively affected my reading experience personally.

That said, ultimately it's still fiction. And while I personally do not care for the story and have my own criticisms, as a CSA survivor I cannot abide by people treating a story or it's readers with the same severity as actual abuse. Im sorry but it is genuinely insulting to me.
