i remember reading this yeaaars ago as one of the first mangas i read. the air of mystery, something like nostalgia even, combined with the art style and sci-fi elements and the whole notion of the whole world filed into a single consciousness being passed on..... wow the afterword explains it well!
being my first reads, this was so formative to me istg. the brief encounter that leaves such a lasting impact. this immediately became one of my faves until it faded into my back-end memory and i came across one of my notes that mentioned this manga. omoide emanon. so fun to say and it sticks to both the tongue and the brain. probably why i still remember it now despite reading it only once :")
loveeee this. i wonder how emanon would survive the era of technology and globalization. and the rise of robots and fake news. would emanon be an influencer, or something like a hidden expert source for the elite? IDK LOL
