There's an extra but I can't find it anywhere so if you stick to the novel storyline and the manga follows quite truthfully the story. No MP in sight.

My personal opinion but I think that homophobia is very much present in yaoi. Sure, these are love stories between men, but there is always a lot of homophobia surrounding them, from parents, friends, society. There are few major characters in the story who are truly open-minded and respectful. Support is mostly done in private but not in public (but considering Japanese society, they're pretty discreet in terms of affection in public and opinion). Even main characters are being homophobic (''i'm not gay'' hon have you heard of bisexuality and self discovery!!!!).

Also trops are often repetitive it's like copy and paste. But considering how many of those stories being published everyday I guess it's hard not to do like everyone else (but I condemn those authors using SA as a stepping stone for their stories (╬￣皿￣)凸 )

And for me, this beta/omega change is representative of underlying homophobia. Cause the alpha is only interested in the beta once he gains the birth capacity.
Or is it just lazyness to be published and be sure to make money out of it? (〜￣△￣)〜

Yet I am sure that many of us want inclusive stories that encompass all genders without sticking to the recurring stereotypes of yaoi. Read omegaverse if it's your thing and regular yaoi if you just want to have fluffy love and hot sex but no kids between the MC and ML. And tag accordingly #－.－)
