hello, a close friend purchased it on ridibooks some time ago and MTLed the entire thing for personal use. i recommend doing that, since it comes out to about 20 USD. however, i understand not being able to; if that's the case, i would wait to see if someone chooses to pick this up. if you check out novelupdates, there's currently a group hosting an english translation, but i suspect that it's MTL locked behind a paywall. the first half of the story is available for free, with the rest releasing on some sort of schedule.
Aaww I got you, okay really thanks, actually I saw the one in novel updates and I was willing to buy the rest but the website felt kinda shady to me (since it crushed down few times while I was using it ) that's why I hesitated to invest my money on it, so in case I actually purchased the story from ridibooks how to MTL it ?? Like what better sources/ apps/ sites to use if you have any idea ?? I only know of a site called papago (something like this) but I'd rather also have other options

it's been a while since i read it and i still think about the story from time to time. it's messy and vicious, perhaps for no real reason, but it is undeniably captivating. genuinely gruesome stuff that you can't look away from. if you think Non Zero Sum was too much for you, don't even bother with this.
Booty Wurk is an interesting BL. it follows the same thematic arcs and narrative structures as a lot of "classic" toxic BL we see, but it has a way of bringing you back down to earth. dread leaks through the screen like an oppressive pressure, a feeling that few novels can induce. the violence has seemingly no end—the "male lead" our main character meets comes off as someone with no real motivations for evil; just doing it for the sake of doing it. suspense of disbelief will be your very good friend throughout the duration of this story, because most of the turns this plot takes are absurd.
time reunites Shinwoo and Taeon in the cruelest fashion. all the events that play out starting from their high-school years spiraling all the way into adulthood seem like a sick joke played by the universe, always on the opposite side of Lee Shinwoo. it's as if he is punished for clinging to dance as a lifeline, rejected by the universe containing him. a shred of dignity and bullheaded stubbornness, the refusal to accept his role as a victim, are what keep him going. the desperation to claw at what little he has is enough to inspire 10 volumes of continuous humiliation and violation of body autonomy. defiance is an alluring character trait—there's little the reader can do but watch as he looks for love where it has no place for him.
our male lead is a stifling presence. everytime he's on screen, you're struck with an urge to close the tab, lol. the cycle of destruction and reconstruction, the push and pull, his undeniable gravitation to the life he's ruined; due justice is delivered to the catalyst of our journey in the form of self-inflicted suffering. Taeon traps himself in the act of trapping, breaking, rebuilding, and tossing away Shinwoo.
honestly, most of the details are lost on me by now. most of the background happenings are left in the background in favour of watching their relationship play out. there's some family drama, other "love interests" (...i think it's obvious by now that they only mirror Taeon), but not even the male lead prioritizes it, because his focus is almost exclusively on the main character. they're far from important in my eyes; the heart of this story lies in the hunger for love after denial. i was winded by how consuming my fascination with the main character's misery was. it's an exhilarating, stomach-churning fascination. i couldn't put it down.
i'm not excited for this manhwa. far from it stemming from revulsion for the art; i actually think it's uniquely fitting for the setting. it's not polished in the same way other BL manhwa are—exaggerated proportions and a drab colour pallet that do everything BUT make you want to read. a perfect representative for the overall vibe of the work. my trepidation comes from how the mass audience reception will be. it's already begun with the comment section here lmao. i won't spend a shred of time on our well-known "don't like, don't read" spiel, because most of the people who refuse to listen are kids. if you're here to follow along, heed the tags! spoiler: nothing gets better. if you're looking for groveling and redemption, look elsewhere.
