Yes, the amnesia bit was…well, if you had just finished one, you’d find it annoying. But, if you’re reading something like this after so long, you’d find get invested in the characters you’d feel heartbroken when he forgets. This is how I see it.

i agree! it made the reconciliation so worth it to read. i was so heartbroken for athy and when she burst into tears when claude apologizes to her my heart couldn’t take it it hits much harder knowing and reading everything she went through
