I personally think the the style of art fits with the novels disturbing theme plus the artist used to draw a lot of fanart for the series so it's a fans dream come true to be able to work on the adaptation, people on twt genuinely pmo so bad ╥﹏╥ Like if they hate the art so much instead of being assholes they can just not interreact with it at all and move on. I hate social media culture cuz it's got people so brain dead thinking being abusive and rude is "constructive criticism".
Those are the same kind of people who read things they preached they loathed, which is the hypocrisy in itself. Social media culture's standard is contradictory in itself as well, and sometimes, even childish. This is why normie folks should fuck off the internet. But lucky for the likes of us to be able to finally keep something away from the majority, though. I'm interested to know how the story would go.
Tbh those who started with jinx or bj alex aren't loyal fujoshis or fundashi most of them are toxic and always up to criticism more than liking storyline and doesn't have mature mind to understand most things I don't think any person who must be paying and doing job would have time to post on X bad things about anything. Now bl community is so toxic there is literally war on social media regarding black flag, red flag, green flag like tf all these plots are messed up and unique in its own way i won't say all are bad but just as if I put my opinion they all attack you so it's better not to deal with most bl readers now. Now hate spread faster than like cuz people love negative things. Mostly when yaoi used to be a things mangas usually there was no criticism people read talk about just go their way but now it's different they read something and fight over it.
Well, it doesn't really matter how these fujodanshis stumble across the yaoi community, or what stories they started up with. What matters is what comes after reading it, which is the interpretation and understanding.
Technically, most readers nowadays lacked such intellect to comprehend or explore dynamics, and they basically reduced these dynamics into misleading troupes, hence, naming the semes red, black or green flag. Categorizing them doesn't always equate/equal to a better understanding either, so I could feel your frustration. Truth to be told, I don't engage much with the community on either platforms. Tiktok and X alike. It is much more fun to speak with people here on sites because most people here are more open to character study discussion.
It is nice to speak with you as well. We share similar thoughts.
No literally, the hypocrisy is wild. They’ll call something trash but still keep up with every update just to complain. At that point it’s not even criticism, it’s just wanting attention and their 2 mins of twt fame.
I’m just glad the adaptation went to an artist who actually cares about the source material. That already gives me more confidence for the adaptation. I’m really curious to see how they handle the darker themes and whether it captures the same intensity as the Novel. The story has so much potential and yeah it's not a genre for everyone but for a lot of us it is ╥﹏╥

Such a niche art style. I hope it is cinematically on par with Missing Love: A Married Man. I usually get fond over distinct arts like these. People who were criticizing this one on X were tasteless.
