I think you also need to re-evaluate that because a two-year age gap isn't really pedophilic if they're both consenting adults and met each other as adults. For example my parents have a 5-year age gap but met as adults, then that's fine.

But if the relationship starts with an adult and the other a minor, and made it official when the minor is of legal age... then that is a cause for concern...

There is also the case of older adults who tend to date young adults. An example would be the actor Leonardo DiCaprio (idk if this is just a meme actually but a lot people keep talking about it). Apparently he dates younger women and breaks up with them when they turn 25. That's not only creepy but borderline pedophilic (still not consodered pedophilia) when he's 50 or something.

Finally, there's nothing really wrong with age gap as long as they're both consenting adults. It's actually one of my favorite sub-genre of romance. One thing that I like about it is how they explore the difference of their experiences and struggles (think of it like how most older adults don't understand the younger generation's culture).

I think they're talking about the fact that the buff guy has who been seen as a guardian figure of king for 16 years, now having a romatic relationship is odd. If we're saying that the king is currently at a minimum of 18 years old and he met the king 16 years ago, it seems almost predatory. Personally, it feels morally wrong to have relations with a person you've always viewed as a child and especially when that child has viewed you as their only source of love.
If we compare this to cases in real life, it would be labeled close to predatory and/or grooming. These cases could often have the similar signs where the older adult was the only source of affection for the child and that affection ,then being convinced its love.
But who am I to talk. I just read this shit too. I do agree its weird af tho. Like bro didnt think maybe "i shouldnt do this because he's pretty much like a little brother" but instead skipped that and went straight for "but he's a king and im a knight". I guess that romantizes the situation but idk. No further comment.
