Why is the empress sometimes referred to as "he" and sometimes as "she"?

That's just the fault of the translators and from what I heard Korean and Chinese don't have pronouns such she/he so it gets confusing to translate. But if you know the languages well enough it shouldn't have been an issue.

Is it a dude or a woman im genuinely confused
