Did you know the complaints are literally so bad for this one the author has had to address it bc of fan harassment???
Yeah, don't like it drop it. It's that simple.
"If you like what's happening and see nothing wrong with it"
Buddy this is fictional, these are 2d dolls. Nothing they do reflects on the reader morally. And if that was true, even hate reads "support" actions.
If you don't like toxic stories there are plenty that aren't. Harassing the author bc you don't like a made up story is weird
Literally this. Idk why people enjoy torturing themselves bc they have some moral issue with fiction. I've dropped shit halfway through chap 1 bc of art or dialogue I thought was dumb. Didn't even leave a comment just moved tf on.
It's like they think they have to prove they're morally superior by "calling out" fiction
I also like pointing out moral wrongs in stories sometimes. If it gets to much I drop it. Sometimes I cannot help complain about things if the comic pissies me off enough.
I think the problem people are the ones who go after others or attacking them for reading comics like this. I encounter these people all of the time on every site. I've been called a pedophile for reading historical straight romance.
The comments are constantly flooded with people saying how wrong things are without saying why they keep reading. I usually do that, so people can see that I agree that something is bad but also go "hot smut". That's why you see people commenting and saying to stop reading if you don't like it. People aren't elaberating enough nor taking the time to stop and think.
This comment took me 20mins to write. I try to think and rewrite before I post, I do fail at times. I've already discussed this on another site.
Honestly agree . When they're only crying about it being toxic and wrong and how upset they are while we all know it's only going to get worse it's like why read? Reading isn't hurting me physically or emotionally, but it doesn't mean what I'm reading isn't morally fucked lol The way these people comment on this comic is so fucking dramatic and judgy. Idk why they're reading if not only to sound off and attempt to look morally superior while shaming everyone saying it's hot.
Yup. I think they're from Twitter and or Reddit. They started appearing on Bato. Then the Tiktok kids started posting about bato. (They can be clinically deranged and put words into your mouth "reading between the lines" but they were just crazy. Couldn't block those people either)
Remember during the pandemic and mangago had to freeze the topic section because people started flooding the site and trolling?
Also, I like reading Merry Psycho and Flowers are Bait. Merry Psycho's leads are both toxic and insane and I love it and you'll see many of the comments saying that too.
Flowers Are Bait is wholesome now but according to spoilers it's going to be very toxic to the point I'll probably put on hold until it ends then pop in and finish it.
What kind of lame point is that? I’ve seen so many stories with toxic plots, women being manipulated, abused, raped, and mistreated, and everyone openly complains about it. People call out the issues, criticize the characters, and sympathize with the victims. And no one complains about readers choosing to speak up.
But now that the roles are reversed, suddenly everyone wants to turn their brains off and just “enjoy the toxicity.” I don’t care whether you choose to romanticize it or not. For those of us who want to discuss the toxic themes while still reading the story, there’s nothing wrong with that.
You’re not better than other readers just because you view the story differently. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion
Then you drop it, if you can't handle others opinions, what a lame excuse
The point is that people are allowed to critique what they consume, especially when certain tropes are theme toxic in ways that feel uncomfortable or harmful. Saying “just drop it” shuts down discussion instead of addressing the concern. You may not see it as an issue, but that doesn’t mean others are “looking for a problem” just because they want to talk about it gosh
I get what you’re saying. I also drop stories when they go too far for me. At the same time, I think it’s valid to point out moral issues in fiction, especially when certain behaviors are being romanticized. Critiquing something doesn’t automatically mean someone shouldn’t be reading it.
What I don’t agree with is attacking real people over fictional content. Calling someone names or labeling them over what they read is unnecessary and crosses a line. There’s a difference between criticizing tropes and harassing readers.
I do try to explain why something bothers me instead of just saying “this is wrong.” And yes, sometimes people vent without elaborating, which can make it seem like they’re just complaining. But discussion and criticism aren’t the same thing as policing what others enjoy.
At the end of the day, we can read what we want, drop what we want, and still have conversations about the parts that don’t sit right with us
The irony of telling someone to “grow up” while typing out something that unhinged is wild. You sound way more emotional than the people you’re trying to mock.
No one is “splashing in a puddle” , we’re discussing fiction. If criticism feels like a personal attack to you, maybe you’re the one tying your self-worth to “fucked up smutty mystery.”
And pointing out problematic elements isn’t moral superiority, it’s called having media literacy. If that threatens you, just say that instead of throwing tantrums in the comments

Some of you are complaining about other people complaining about the story, as if readers aren’t entitled to their own opinions. Is this the first story where readers have criticized the plot? No.
If you like what’s happening in the story and see nothing wrong with it, that’s your choice. But those of us who can see problematic things and choose to call them out have that same right. Stop acting like people can’t criticize a story and still continue reading it.
This isn’t the first story where readers have complained about the plot while still following it, and it definitely won’t be the last
