Ngl it was all because of Rebecca who somehow enchanted all three of them with a love potion for revenge, if she didn't interfere, then maybe things would've ended differently but idk about the mage guy tho he's kinda weird
IMO it seems they did that because oath of soul (not revealed yet), since theres a heart with chain scene, I guess it related to Lili big bro and Lili (and the sisters) health/life so they MUST meet Lili and the sisters
Well, the story did implied that the king and the mage had an oath with Andrea abt the sisters. So, in a way, they had to tangle themselves so their oath can happen. And in the beginning, the king also said something abt atoning to his past behaviour.
