IMO it seems they did that because oath of soul (not revealed yet), since theres a heart with chain scene, I guess it related to Lili big bro and Lili (and the sisters) health/life so they MUST meet Lili and the sisters
Well, the story did implied that the king and the mage had an oath with Andrea abt the sisters. So, in a way, they had to tangle themselves so their oath can happen. And in the beginning, the king also said something abt atoning to his past behaviour.

Im just in chapter 30 and ughh i hate the ml (kid) like girl why is he so ungrateful, the fl did everything to help his brother, and it looks like the fl is the one begging to save his brother do he really love his brother or what? Hes an orphan he doesn’t have someone to rescue his ass, but looks how hes acting he feels like a princess, ughh he deserves what happened to him and his brother in past life, very ungrateful, i know he’s an orphan and doesnt have any guardian but a simple thanks is what he cant give grrrr i hope he diesss
