Yeah, I get why this only had two comments. There are 4 characters much more interesting who we are seeing since the beginning, the choice of protagonist seems poor, his motivations, actions, character design, background, everything we've seen of him makes him dislikeable. He is an ok background character. Not comparing their personalities, but it's as if mineta were the protagonist of bnha when we have Midoriya, Bakugiu, Todoroki and Occhako as background characters. It's not a Goju situation where you have a good main but a side takes all the attention, is genuinely a poor choice. He is not engaging and all the time I'm just thinking I wanna see the others. Also, the romantic pairing swapping, having established who he liked ok the very first chapter and putting miji very close to tye other character but then suddenly it's miji whom he dreams of, that too felt like bad writing. Who even likes such fickle character? And his design changing in a Steve Rogers way? But even his ahoge shitty hair disappeared. It's just… it really makes you feel like the author did not plan for this to be serious, the tone was very much that of a comedy around the MC on the first chapters, even on the end of the prologue he was off-putting comedic, horrible timing for it, considering the rest of the chapter, btw. Yeah, no. By chapter 40 he ain't even the same character and not because he went through trials and tribulations, but because the author realized he wasn't working. But by then you are already fed up with how inconsistent it all is and how the Mc doesn't feel like he deserves anything he's got that it doesn't make a difference of you change him by then.
