I could be wrong here, but I think the alphas knot to lock their dicks into the omega as they come so that they have a better chance of impregnating them. That's just the basic function of it but I think when alphas knot in general it just means they really are enjoying the sex or they really like their partner- or both. I could be wrong though, definitely not an expert in the subject.
