For ch. 19 note, about Ella's reason for being like this as due to postpartum. I disagree, I think it's because of her intention and real self. After the novel ends, she no longer have a "guide" to tell her what to do and how to act. She simply show her true selfish and shallow self. I'm not saying PPD can not be the cause, but even in this lifetime with the secretary, you can see how she no longer embody the woman Kahir falls in love with. She is selfish and don't see Kahir as a person, since he's a character in a novel, but a character that was supposed to be this and that even if she no longer play the character she's supposed to. Hehe
