What a ride

The fact Jk doesn't know how to label his feelings does not suprise me having in mind his childhood and how he lived until now.
I assume he's torn between his attraction and guilt, also the weight he gave to Dan as someone important to his life now that he uses both heads

All those feelings being mixed with that naive (simplistic) way of thinking about how he and Dan can still "keep in touch" after the fight he himself set as a deadline.

The pace is not so rushed and I kinda like it, although it seems to be an odd thought among the readers, but I prefer this instead of a quick way to "get rid" of the past that now affects both of them as a prospect ending couple. Bedsides, he's kinda learning his way to show this feelings into actions, but I do wish he starts to use his words more, even if he just states the obvious as: "i don't know what I'm feeling, but it's not just guilt"
Just being honest, that would be great.

Dan has definitely learned to not to swoon himself into delulunes and I appreciate that as a consequence of all their past interactions as employee-employer (as a short term for whatever they had). I like that being an obstacle to get them together.

Now, I do fear what the fuck those people are making up to whipe Jk off the scene as a fighter and as I see it, his existence itself (ngl heaters should name themselves Sharkeys Supp. It's elegant and they share purposes to keep appearing in this manhwa: mouth trash Jk and wish him death and being annoyed by Dan's afk existence lol).

Something tells me it def has to do with Dan and that scares me the most, because there's no way they would defy Jk face to face, expected from a bunch of cowards. Still hopefully Dan does not suffer (FUKIN AGAIN) so JK uses his brain and logical thinking (ik it's a lot yo ask) before something really ugly happens to Dan.

I love ranting, idk if anyone even feels the same or not, but I like to read different opinions as long as they're not a poorly written bunch of ragebait text

... Well, those too but they're just funny. It's more entertaining to actually have a share of minds beyond goon admiration to characters with stinky attitude or forced hate to a piece of work you are not obligated to read.

Was a long ass read but i can't deny that i agree, i let this marinate for a couple of months and i just came back ready to unload all the insult I've been saving, just to find myself actually enjoying these last few chapters.

Sure, i could see from a mile away the way this story was going, trash male lead repents, gets forgiven and has his good ending, his tragic backstory only fueled that fire, but surprisingly, i don't find myself minding it too much, probably because it doesn't feel too forced, and the characters seem to have actually learnt something from the past instead of repeating the same mistakes.

The thing i enjoy the most is that jk's guilt is not something to get over but a constant that haunts his every moment, especially with the reappearance of the shitty doctor, and i appreciate that, it's genuine, not that he's all better now and suddenly a decent human being, but it endears you to the character somehow, because a nothing screams likability like a good redemption arc.

i like the fact that even those closest to him call him out on his behavior (heesung on his aggressiveness), so you know it's a character flaw and not just a reaction to kim dan specifically.

I also enjoy ranting so that's something we have in common ♪\(*^▽^*)/\(*^▽^*)/

For Dan and JK, maybe after this match or whatever happens; it's better that they distance themselves and figure out what they really want with each other.

Dan has already made up his mind after what happened before. On the other hand, Jaekyung might say he's not guilty but he's going back to what he said and done.

Why do i feel that this would end in an open ending.

Yes!! Totally agree!! Jk's guilt is def something I appreciate is not dismissed as just something he feels when he's being rejected, but he himself seems to frequent when he acknowledge the things Dan has been wary of since his return to Seoul.

And yes, of course that does not makes him a decent human being, but a human being regardless and those thoughts about how much he messed up that now he does know a simple "I'm sorry" it's not enough to have a happy ending keeps me invested. It is endearing to see him struggle with things we consider kinda simple when acknowledging a crush or falling in love with someone and how he makes himself vulnerable (on purpose or not). I like it.

I think something people ignores a lot is the fact that tropes or cliché concepts are meant to be like that, predictable. The thing a writer does that makes it interesting or not is how the plot l r the cliché is treated and I get that there are things you can like or not of that take of decisions from the author, but expecting things to go different when the cliché is there, is more like a chosen blindness to after complain on something that obviously was gonna end the same way it always does.

Heesung being an accidental wingman for pointing out Jaekhyun's shitty character and anger issues is satisfying. Hope is not the last person o time to witness something like that.

I appreciate a lot your will to being involved with my rant, you're so sweet! I hope you have a beautiful day or night and stay healthy and happy!

    That's such an interesting scenario!

I personally don't have that kind of 'hunch' about the end, but it would be interesting to see if they go their own ways to make up their feelings and life (especially Dan).

Regarding Jaekhyun's 'guiltrip' situation, I think it's more of a resource than an obstacle since it helps him to process why Dan is the way he is after how he was treated by him and to reach that knowledge to get a grip of his feelings.

I still have my doubts about Dan. I don't know if he will do something after the fight is done or something happens to him just when he resolves his internal struggle towards Jk. I'd like to think positively and say everything will be better handled but... this is not the usual nor the most entertaining or expected way to solve things in manwhas hehe.

Honestly I wouldn't say the end is gonna be open, ay least no when it comes to the romantic side of the story. I can be that some plot holes will be there and not taken care of, but I wouldn't worry about the ending being an open one.

It is interesting tho to think about an open ending, that would be different and def something that would make me go nuts, grieving for a 'what if'.

Thank you for putting different options at the table as a prospect ending, really got me thinking about that possibility. I hope you have a nice day or night and enjoy your time reading this with the rest! ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~

I want a different ending for this one. The same ending like in other manhwa's are just repeated.

I want to see Dan live a life that hasn't anything to do with Jaekyung around. Jaekyung should also do the same. They both came from trauma and i feel like, they're just bonding with it.

I appreciate your sincerity on the last part. Thank you and you too as well.
