The double standard for top and bottom is wild ngl, both are adult men stop treating ideum as if he's a baby, he's the older one, and he's an active participant in this friends with benefits relationship, y'all treating jaeyi as if he's leading ideum on when he hasn't done anything wrong, he's also human, he has flaws and is allowed to get frustrated sometimes, I'm actually pleasantly surprised this manhwa didn't fall into the miscommunication trope, the top is doing his best despite his own issues so cut his some slack
I get it. But I also think it's alright to point out the not-so-good decisions the characters make (i.e. forced sex). I haven't read much comments, but from the way I see it, even the exhibitionism ideum did at the start was framed as a flaw stemming from wanting connection and well, desperation. It's frustrating, but these flaws make the story interesting; makes you wanna know how they'll develop their relationship. But just because they're fuck buddies, jaeyi is still in the wrong for forcing an intimate situation with ideum in this chap, especially that although not fully, jaeyi knows he's frustrated and that he's taking it out on ideum. On top of that, jaeyi has some idea about ideum's tendency to be anxious, so, he has a clue of what it might mean for ideum (possibly induces more anxiety). Hence, rather than leading ideum on, i think jaeyi complicates the "relationship" by giving mixed signals. Ngl, it's getting interesting tho. Though it's bare minimum to communicate, jaeyi talking abt his brother proves he's not all bad, just not good at handling the situation.
Can someone recommend me some genuinely good and fun bl? It doesn't have to be some fancy masterpiece, just enjoyable story with likable characters, I'm tired of reading these smut slops

It's not really a bl but one of the focus character relationships is between two boys. The story is so much more than that though. But also that relationship is handles so well. You'll cry though. Be prepared for tears. Really, it's amazing.

I didn't come with any reccs, but this so real. I told myself I'd never get tired of reading BLs, but atp every BL recc I've come across either has sex in the first few chapters, revolves around sex, has the friends w benefits troupe or has rape. Like are we dead ass rn?
And I don't want the innocent, never held hands before, never kissed before type of characters or shounen-ai, either, but something in between. Like can we please let the character fall in love before making them have sex?
Fr I've been very picky for a long time when it comes to bl, it's so hard to find a bl that doesn't revolve around emotionless sex or rape, tops are mostly red/black flag bastards who deserve to die but nevertheless get a happy ending for the sake of the couple. When I find and finish reading a good bl that I like , I wander on sites and lists for days to find a decent bl, and the bls in those "TOP TIER 9.0 BEST OF ALL TIME YAOI" lists are just toxic and boring af, most lists are bullshit it seems that people are too brainwashed by toxic stuff that they can't tell when a bl is actually good
