It’s normally something you find out yourself early on in the relationship because you care and want to know not because your partner explicitly tells you. I think he overreacted hard ruining Garams Birthday in the process. He was also weirdly aggressive going from zero to a hundred in a second
i think cz his character grew a lot people tend to forget just how short tempered he really is like we all know how insufferable seme’s ass was in the earlier chapters. also garam has always had trouble with self expression, its a thing that was never fully addressed in the story. its def weird ml is reverting back to that considering his growth but its not surprising coming from him. brother got pissed cz his efforts was received in that manner. imo garam is to be blamed in this instance. this whole ordeal wouldnt have been as bad as it is if he didnt swat ml’s hand and started bringing up other problems just so he wouldnt be held accountable for this current situation.
garam ruined his own birthday by his very physical repulsion towards the rings. ml just verbalized his reaction poorly cz hes short tempered and a brat but that reaction was a result of garam’s actions. when ur given a gift the least you can do is be graceful about it even when expressing your disapproval. thats how i personally see it

also they havent been together long! their relationship started right after finals, like them both acknowledging theyre no longer just fucking. it hasnt even been a whole academic year lol. they moved in together at the start of garam’s internship which happened after the semester and those internships r usually 3-6 months long. positions like these the are usually on the shorter end so unless explicitly mentioned, the internship is prob at most 4 months. they move too fast actually
if im remembering the events correctly, its very likely they started to acknowledge each other as human beings not more than 5 months ago
In my experience you would find out your partners Birthday in the first weeks of dating. I also just don’t think that Garams behaviour is comparable because Seme is exhibiting abusive behaviour. I am sorry but having a non optimal reaction towards a gift does not warrant having a tantrum throwing that gift away then kicking a trash can, having a screaming match and then leaving like a three year old toddler. Especially after he lied to Garam about pretty big stuff, to then explode like that because he didn’t tell him it’s his birthday and having reservations about wearing rings is…insane

I am grown and old enough to understand and have the nuance to see that Garam not accepting the Rings and not talking about his Birthday does not come close to not telling the Guy you have a relationship with about the apartment that you own even though you lied about that, your new job, oh and that you are having legal court hearings with your ex… those issues are also not separate they all include omitting information so it makes a lot of sense to bring those issues up in that specific situation. If you think the reaction wasn’t overblown and they are on equal ground you do you. I still think that the Seme is acting like a big baby in that situation for a reason that is so benign (in contrast to what he has done the last few chapters) a grown ass man who has a job and a house should not care about.
