I’m sorry but he is dumb.
His secretary likes him, he fapped to MC and ML fucking which is idk why he kept the phone on during that time. His alpha secretaty almost r**** just a few days ago, and he willingly goes back to the lion’s den when he’s about to go on a rut!!! Wtf!! This is not about them being friends, it’s about the fact that the secretary clearly likes MC.

But MC doesn’t know that the secretary likes him and all that so it doesn’t really seem crazy to me that he trusts him. Also I get the thing with the almost rape thing but the secretary just had an irregular rut and since to the MC the secretary doesn’t seem like someone dangerous he just considers that incident as an accident that could’ve happened to anyone and this forgives him and so technically it’s fine as long as the secretary is careful with his rut. Also the is no indication that any of them is about to get their heat/rut, it was literally influenza. Ergo I don’t think the MC is being especially stupid, dense maybe, but you need to understand that he really sees the secretary as a close friend and so even if he tries to be on guard with everyone, he’s still only human, we need to rely on others, it’s just the way we are and so MCs guard slowly went down around the secretary.

For starters, this isn't even an issue about friends or anything like that.
Don't you see how nonsensical it is that the plot that make an omega who, right after having a strong realization that all Alphas are the same, decides to stay at the place of the Alpha who had just tried to r@pe him?
Even if he wouldn't be able to get any work done in a hotel, doesn't he have any other acquaintances?

Thank you for sharing what I couldn’t put into words. It doesn’t matter how the MC views relationship, it doesn’t matter that the secretary didn’t mean it, the only thing that matters is that he almost got r****. This is an omegaverse, he could’ve gotten pregnant! And what kind of person doesn’t take caution. This should be a wake up call to the MC.

I’m so frustrated by the MC! The ML clearly likes him, they’ve been together for so long and he still doesn’t know him?! He’s being so cautious around the alpha ML but so reckless around his alpha secretary.

I agree with the fact that the MCs actions are contradictory, but I still don’t think it makes him dumb. People always contradict themselves, there are always exceptions depending on the circumstances and relationships between the people involved. Though I agree that in this particular case, especially with the almost-rape, his actions are a harsh contradiction to his mindset and honestly a little far fetched, but are in my opinion not unthinkable taking into consideration the large amount of trust needed to make this scenario possible.

Also if we are to consider the Omegaverse angle on this as making this whole scenario so incongruous to real life, that it cannot be compared with how we deal with and judge relationships and actions, then that would also make your argument lose weight, seeing as, like the rest of us, you have no legitimate references upon which to build said argument, rendering this whole debate irrelevant.
