It’s only natural for a bodyguard=Josh to prioritize stopping their charge from dying right in front of them. And Chase is rly seriously suffering from PTSD. In a situation like that, it’s understandable he wouldn’t have the bandwidth to worry about the bodyguard who got shot (unless it was Josh).
Besides, if Henry had simply done the bare minimum required of a bodyguard and locked the door, he wouldn't have gotten shot in the first place. It was clearly his own negligence. Not that i'm blaming our Henry, it’s just the poor writing of the author.
Fr, poor writing. I mean Henry was standing right next to her. Could've tackled her to the ground, not somersault into the line of fire. Author just randomly adding MSG near the ending hoping to spice up the miscommunication more.
Yep, I’m speechless. Locking the door, quickly dragging her outside, knocking the gun away and pinning her to the floor—he did absolutely no single thing in any phase of that. Those are decisions even an amateur could make. If you won't portray their job with even a shred of common sense or respect, then you shouldn't be making it the theme of your work...
ML respected MC's wishes and accepted the breakup, and came back believing they could get back together because he achieved the results MC had asked for. But MC ignored that promise, and despite being the one who demanded it, he's even jealous of ML's achievements—who does he think he is...? Instead of regretting it and chasing after ML, will the story unfold with MC getting involved with that frivolous jerk to fill the void? Ok I should drop here~
I'm utterly sick of this type MCs who claim to be acting for ML's sake, but in reality only care about their own pain or convenience and keep doing what ML hates the most.
