Ever since I started reading this, I thought about the tite. Why 'Wet sand'? It can be a metaphor for a lot of things, wet sand is easily washed away, when wet it can be molded into whatever you like, but once dried it's justa a pile, nothing more, it's something fragile or something that cannot last long. But than, there's a song by Red hot chilli peppers, carrying the same name and I cannot stop thinking about it. It revolves around pain, growth and complex dysfunctional relationship. There's a lot of interpretations of the songs meanings, like AK is talking with someone his leaving behind. He's walking the beach alone this time, leaving only one set of footprints whre once used to be 2. Be it that he's referring to his past drug addiction or his past troubled lover, it's very interesting to think about it. What's also on my mind is, you can't really form things on wet sand, despite it looking solid, it will crumble down if something weighs on it.
