There are 3 stories connected – Winterbell (this one), Estio and Ygret. First two doesn't have romance, I'd recommend to read Estio as well, the story is good and there's no romance as well

I just connected the dots between Winterbell and estio and dang- I so understand now, I almost forgot that black dragons are more on mental powers and that yellow dragon lost his parents bc of humans and wants revenge DANG- THE DOTSSS ARE CONNECTINGGGGGG
