It looks like a union in some parts because both species can kill one another.But of course the animal humans think humans are weak and just food and the humans feel the same way
It's all about greed for power and control just like our world. In the beginning everyone has a truce and says that they want to get along but on the inside they have the despicable urge to control and dominate one another which in the end results into war, slavery and disputes. It's a neverending cycle and the peace is only ever temporary or short lived. That's exactly what is going on between the humans and animals in this story. It's eat or be eaten.
Like why are some humans completely shocked to discord animal humans? Thinking that they’re just really realistic masks- but then you have entire towns of animal humans and societies.
